Email and share your Trust Drill results
Finish a Trust Drill and you can now email yourself the debrief or share it by link. Results are re-derived server-side from the published rubric, and your email is only stored when you ask us to send it.
Privacy pages refreshed
Trust and privacy copy now states that private mode eligibility (available on every paid plan) is resolved server-side from your profile before any model call, and cannot be claimed by a client.
Terms updated with current review quotas
The Terms now state the live "Review my policy" quotas (3 Free, 20 Starter, 80 Pro, unlimited Founding Member), the 14-day free trial on both Starter and Pro, and the 40,000-character limit on analyzed documents.
Review methodology explains evidence verification
The Policy Review methodology page now states that a control only earns full credit when its supporting excerpt can be matched back to your document.

Review findings now flow into the Policy Builder
Accept, defer, or dismiss each Policy Review finding and accepted items become tracked remediation tasks in the Policy Builder, linked to the clause they affect. Re-run the review to mark them resolved with evidence.
Privacy policy updated for click analytics
We now publish how our first-party, anonymous navigation click counts work: only the link clicked and the page it came from, with no IP address, user agent, or account identifier.
Clearer scoring and export options in Studio
Policy Reviews now show verified excerpts behind each finding, and reports can be exported as a clean copy, change notes, or a remediation report.
Policy revisions and before-and-after comparison
Re-reviewing an updated policy links it to the original as a revision. Studio → Review history shows the full chain plus what was fixed, what is still open, and what is new.
See recent quota adjustments in Studio usage
Studio → Usage now shows a "Recent adjustments" log of every refund, bonus credit, and manual override applied to your account, so you can see exactly why your remaining balance changed.
Account deletion, upload limits and quota hardening
Tightened who can act on your account and files: only you can delete your own account, uploaded files (avatars, policy review PDFs, forum attachments, vault files) enforce size and type limits at the storage layer, and per-user usage counters cannot be read or altered from another account.
Homepage Registry snapshot loads for signed-out visitors
Fixed a permissions regression that briefly caused the Registry snapshot on the homepage to render empty for anonymous visitors. The pie chart and per-province rollups now populate on first load again.
Trust, governance and methodology pages refreshed
Governance, methodology, privacy, terms and the trust pages now describe the read-only MCP server and its nine tools, clarify that Registry inclusion is not a quality grade, and align Activity Score wording across the site.
Quota alerts link straight to the right FAQ answer

Faster site search and cleaner navigation
The ⌘K global search now surfaces Studio tools first, adds proper keyboard focus and screen-reader labels, and covers every Studio page. Read-aloud playback for Trust Drills
Trust Drills now support a tri-mode toggle — text only, audio only, or both — so you can rehearse hard conversations by ear. Audio uses Lovable AI Gateway text-to-speech with a soft monthly cap on Free and higher limits on Starter and Pro.
Trust Drills: shareable per-scenario URLs
Every Trust Drill now has its own public URL under /drills/<scenario> (heist, leak, heat, list, chatbot, vendor). Each URL has its own title, description, and social preview so a link shared in email or Slack shows the specific drill instead of a generic landing card. The /drills landing page is still the plain-language explainer and hub, and existing links keep working. No login, nothing stored — send the URL, that's the training plan.
Trust Drills come to Got AI Policy
Trust Drills — short scenario simulations that pressure-test how a team responds to AI incidents — are now hosted inside Got AI Policy. Facilitators can spin up cohort sessions from Studio, and participants join with an access code at /join.
Studio hub for facilitators
A new signed-in Studio (/studio) unifies Policy Builder, Policy Review, Trust Drills, and live Sessions in one dashboard so teams can move between drafting, reviewing, and running exercises without switching tools.

Updated Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and FAQ to reflect the exact AI models we use (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash and 2.5 Pro via a managed AI gateway), reworded internal “admin broadcasts” to “platform announcements” across public copy, and added a refund-policy cross-reference to the French cancellation FAQ so it matches the English version.
Unified policy lookup across municipalities and provinces
The /grade policy lookup and the on-page lookup bars now search provinces, territories, and municipalities together — type "Ontario", "Yukon", or "Halifax" and jump straight to the full report. The same lookup bar is embedded on the featured cities page, the provinces & territories index, and each individual province page so the search follows you across the site.
Full grade report button on every municipality row
Expanding a municipality on the tracker now shows a "Full grade report" link that opens the detailed evidence-by-evidence breakdown, matching the same shortcut already available from the policy lookup and municipality detail pages.
Tracker uploads now fully replace the dataset
When an admin uploads a new tracker CSV, municipalities missing from the file are archived and immediately drop off the public site. A one-click Refresh follow-ups panel then clears cached AI grades and summaries for the archived rows and flags any policy whose URL changed so the next grader run picks them up. No more stale entries piling up after a re-upload.
Retired public grade sharing
The "Share this grade" button on /grade/<scope>/<slug> has been retired. Individual organizations no longer receive public letter grades or 0–100 scores. Share links inside the authenticated /review flow (private, policy-owner-only) are unchanged.
Neutral policy profiles, forum + province embeds, and follow-up resources
Every /grade/<scope>/<slug> page is now a neutral policy profile — no per-organization score or letter, just factual coverage of evidence blocks with per-finding follow-up resources and next-step CTAs. The compact Policy Profile card is mounted on province detail pages and other public surfaces. Individual 0–100 scores remain private inside the authenticated /review flow.
Freemium wording suggestions on policy reviews
Critical findings and their fixes stay free for every signed-in user. Weak, clarity, and enhancement suggestions are gated to Starter and higher, with clear upgrade prompts inline.
Public policy lookup at /grade (no scores)
The /grade path is now a neutral policy lookup — no letter grade, no 0–100 score for individual organizations. Anyone can look up a Canadian public-sector organization and see a factual Policy Profile drawn from the registry: policy status, source link, human verification, and evidence on file. Missing organizations can still be submitted for review. Regional context is shown as factual counts, never as a grade distribution.
Re-engagement sweep for reviews, corpus updates, and provincial legislation
A daily sweep now notifies reviewers when a review is due for its next check, when the corpus has meaningfully shifted their percentile, or when their province ships new AI legislation.
Board-ready PDF and DOCX exports for policy reviews
Every review now has an export toolbar: PDF (score, top 5 gaps, accepted wording, corpus footnotes) is free for signed-in users, and DOCX with margin comments on accepted clauses is available on Starter and up.
Corrected Starter comparison limit in FAQ
The AI side-by-side comparison FAQ now correctly shows Starter capped at 3 policies per run (Pro remains 6, Founding Members 12). No product change — the earlier FAQ wording was inaccurate.
MCP server expanded with 6 new read-only tools
Got AI Policy's public MCP server now exposes six additional read-only tools: get_registry_snapshot, compare_municipalities, get_provincial_policy, list_featured_cities, search_by_policy_type, and list_municipalities_by_status. MCP-compatible clients such as Claude Desktop can query the public registry directly. No personal data is collected.
Homepage hero refresh
The homepage now leads with "Got AI Policy 🍁" as the primary heading, with a concise mission statement on Canadian AI governance. Display change only — no change to services, quotas, or data.
Onboarding progress bar credits your signup
The onboarding checklist now starts the progress bar at one-third completion — because creating your account was already step one. Small change, less "starting from zero" feeling.

The /mcp page now includes a human-readable setup guide with step-by-step instructions for Claude Desktop, ChatGPT Desktop, Cursor, Notion, and other MCP-compatible clients, plus a FAQ that clarifies no account is required and explains what to do when a client (like Notion) asks you to sign in.
Agent integrations via MCP
AI agents like ChatGPT and Claude can now query the Canadian municipal AI policy registry directly through our Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint at /mcp. Three read-only tools are exposed: search municipalities, get a municipality, and list provinces with counts.
Invite emails now show a 30-day expiry
Team and admin invitations now include a clear note that the invite expires in 30 days, so recipients know how long they have to accept.
Refreshed invite email
The "You have been invited" email is now titled "Create your Got AI Policy account" with clearer copy explaining what Got AI Policy is before the accept button.
Private members stay named in your conversations
Members who set their profile to private again show up with their name and avatar in your direct messages, connections list, forum threads, and activity feed instead of appearing as a generic "User".
Branded auth emails now send from gotaipolicy.ca
Signup confirmations, magic-link logins, password resets, email-change confirmations, and admin invitations now come from a gotaipolicy.ca sender and link back to the .ca site, matching the rest of the product.
New blog: AI regulation in Canada, mid-2026
Anya published a plain-language walkthrough of where federal, provincial and municipal AI rules stand as of mid-2026, with links to every underlying law, strategy, and voluntary code.
Bilingual FAQ sections added to province and city pages
Every province and territory page, the provinces/territories index, the featured cities index, and each municipality detail page now has an FAQ section in English and French, with FAQPage structured data so answers can surface in Google, ChatGPT and other AI answer engines.
Fixed intermittent permission-denied errors on admin and quota checks
Restored database grants that were causing sporadic failures on admin dashboards, subscription checks, and content editing. No user action required.
Team creation limited to paid plans
Only Pro and Founding Member accounts (or admins) can create a team. This closes a loophole where Free accounts could self-issue team tiers to unlock gated forum categories.
Tighter privacy for member profiles
Anonymous visitors now see only the display fields you have explicitly marked public. Private fields like email and location are no longer readable without an account.
Founding Member removed from the pricing comparison
The Founding Member column no longer appears on the pricing page. The plan still exists for existing members; the dedicated Founding Member page remains accessible via direct link.

Stronger password protection at signup and reset
New and changed passwords are now checked against the Have I Been Pwned database of known leaked passwords. If a password has appeared in a data breach, signup and password reset will reject it with a clear, plain-language message explaining why and prompting you to choose a different one.
Retired Pro→Founder upgrade credit code path
Removed the orphaned Practitioner→Founder upgrade-credit checkout flow and its UI component now that Founding Member applications are paused and the Pro credit guarantee has been retired. Historical credit rows are preserved for accounting.
Founding Member page removed from nav and search
With applications paused, the Founding Member page is no longer linked from the footer and is excluded from search engines. The URL still works for direct visits and for existing Founding Members.
CivicPlay AI Governance Toolkit added to the nonprofit guide
The AI for Community-Serving Organizations guide now highlights CivicPlay's Responsible AI Governance Toolkit — a free, plain-language method (minimal viable policy, named AI Governance Lead, light monthly check-ins) tailored to teams under 10 people. The toolkit is also available in the member Vault.
Pro credit guarantee retired
The limited-time guarantee that let Pro subscribers apply prior Pro payments as a credit toward Founding Member is no longer available. Pro and Founding Member are now independent purchases at their published prices.
Founding Member applications paused
We've closed the current Founding Member cohort. Existing Founding Members keep their $887/yr lifetime price lock. The Founding Member page now points new visitors to create a free account and stay tuned for the next cohort opening, which we'll announce there.

Replaced generic link labels, added noindex to private utility routes, and documented routes intentionally excluded from the public sitemap.
Rich-text forum posts with spoiler tags
Forum posts now support bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, headings, font sizes, colours, and spoiler tags. All HTML is sanitized server-side before storage.
PWA support for mobile install
Got AI Policy is now installable as a standalone progressive web app on Android and iOS. Your theme and sign-in state are preserved; no app store or extra permissions are required.
Undo and version history in edit mode
Every edit now lands on an undo stack (50 deep, with Ctrl/Cmd+Z), and every publish snapshots the value so admins can browse past versions and restore any one as a fresh draft before re-publishing.
Drag-and-drop reorder in admin edit mode
Admins can now reorder editable blocks directly on the page from the inline edit overlay. Drafted moves go through the same draft → publish workflow as text and image edits.

Anya wrote a plain-language explainer for lifetime contributions and the Activity Score — what counts, what doesn't, and how the points roll up. The badge tooltip on every profile now links straight to it.

Private mode now included on every paid plan
Private mode (no AI request logging beyond the 30-day audit window, account-scoped retention controls) is now available on Starter in addition to Pro and Founding Member. Toggle it any time from Settings → AI privacy.
Email notifications and weekly digest
Choose which events trigger an email — replies in threads you follow, direct messages, status changes on watched municipalities, and admin broadcasts — or bundle them into a single weekly digest. Manage everything from Settings → Notifications, and use the one-click unsubscribe link in any email.
Edit and run multiple announcement banners
Admins can now edit live banners directly from the admin dashboard and run more than one at a time, so multiple announcements can ride the site simultaneously.
Faster blog authoring with rich text + HTML
The admin blog editor now offers a rich-text view with formatting tools alongside a raw HTML view, a one-click sync to pull the latest published version, inline status switching (Published/Draft/Coming soon), and a Share button on every public post.

Customer-managed Google AI key support
Got AI Policy now supports plugging in a private Google AI Studio API key. When configured, every Gemini-family AI feature (summaries, comparisons, policy reviews, cohort briefs, Ask) routes directly to your own paid Google account under its no-training terms. Falls back to the Lovable AI Gateway when no key is set. A new admin status card on /admin shows which path is live.
New Popularity dashboard for admins
Admins can now open Analytics → Popularity to see what visitors are searching for, which municipalities are getting the most views, and which exports are most popular. Every card has an info tooltip explaining exactly what counts and where the event fires.
Search by province or territory, not just cities
The homepage and ⌘K global search now suggest provincial and territorial AI-use policies alongside municipalities — typing "Ontario" or "Manitoba" jumps straight to that jurisdiction's policy page. New roadmap post: from directory to procurement-grade registry
Anya published a long-form roadmap explaining how we get from verified links and freshness dates to a registry an auditor, procurement officer, or vendor can cite without an asterisk. Covers provenance, freshness, classification, review history, and the export envelope we are building toward.
Provinces & territories policy CSV upload
Admins can now upload a CSV mapping each Canadian province and territory to its internal corporate AI-use policy URL, with template download, live diff preview, and one-click commit.

Delete your AI history from Settings
Any signed-in user can now wipe their own AI request log entries with one click in Settings → AI privacy. Clears metadata only — request and response bodies were never stored.
Private Mode for AI (Pro & Founding Member)
Pro and Founding Member subscribers can now toggle Private Mode in Settings → AI privacy. When on, AI requests are anonymized in our audit log and an extra no-retention header is sent to providers.
No-training guarantee on every AI feature
Every AI surface (policy review, comparison, summary, ask, cohort brief) now shows a one-line trust statement confirming requests are processed through an approved AI gateway, are never used to train public AI models, and prompt bodies are not retained. Full details on the new /ai-use page.
Vault unlock date moved to May 25
The Knowledge Vault unlock date has been moved from May 22 to May 25, 2026 to allow extra preparation time.
Provincial & territorial AI executive brief
The /provinces-territories page now includes a synthesized executive brief explaining how each provincial and territorial government uses AI internally, including published, in-progress, and unverified jurisdictions, with policy-shape breakdowns. The main FAQ has also been refreshed to reflect the Starter tier alongside Free, Pro, and Founding Member.

We renamed the paid practitioner tier from Member to Pro across the UI, dashboard, exports, and FAQ copy. Pricing, features, quotas, and your existing subscription are unchanged.
Terms and privacy refreshed for new tier
Updated Terms of Use and Privacy Policy on May 19, 2026 to describe the Starter tier, the Member→Pro rename, and the per-tier export quotas. No change to data we collect or your deletion rights.

New Starter plan at CA$19/month or CA$190/year sits between Free and Pro: 30 exports per calendar month with no row cap, full Excel (.xlsx) and Word (.docx) downloads, and unbranded reports. Solo only, no trial.
Hardened security headers across the site
Added a strict Content-Security-Policy plus HSTS, Permissions-Policy, Referrer-Policy and cross-origin isolation headers to every page. Better protection against XSS, clickjacking and data leakage with no change to how you use the app.
Member Vault: curated perks and resources
A new Vault is live for signed-in members. Browse a curated library of templates, briefings, and partner perks, filter by category and tag, and search in plain language. Each item is tier-gated — your Member or Founding Member tier unlocks the matching downloads. Vault contents are admin-curated and never indexed publicly.
AI-powered FAQ search now requires sign-in
The conversational FAQ search on the help page is now available to signed-in members only. Anonymous visitors see a sign-in prompt; the static FAQ list and keyword search remain open to everyone. This change protects the AI gateway from abuse and keeps search latency fast for members.
Dashboard tutorial is now opt-in and collapsible
The product tour no longer auto-launches on your first dashboard visit. The mission checklist is still there: on your first visit it appears at the top of the dashboard, and on later visits it moves to a collapsible side column so it stays available without crowding your main view. Launch the guided tour anytime from the "Start guided tour" button inside the checklist.
Cancel-anytime FAQ clarified
After the 14-day Member trial, cancellations now consistently take effect at the end of your billing cycle — you keep access through the period you've already paid for and the plan does not renew. EN and FR pricing FAQ updated to match.
Tutorial copy refreshed
Onboarding tips and the dashboard 'Get started' checklist now have sharper wording and accurately note that CSV and PDF exports are available to every signed-in account. Available in English and French.
AI page lists all three Gemini models

Cleaner exports: page numbers only
PDF exports now show just the page number in the bottom-right footer instead of repeating the brand domain on every page — leaving more room for your content.

Tax wording simplified across pricing & terms
Pricing, FAQs, and terms now state simply that prices are in CAD and applicable taxes are not included or reflected in the prices shown.
Founder team networks corrected to 43 seats
A Founding Member secondary on a Founding Member team now unlocks 6 tertiary seats (was 2). A Founding Member network can reach up to 43 people total. Pricing examples and the comparison table were updated.
Account & data deletion + AI Use policy
You can now permanently delete your account and personal data from Settings → Danger zone — any active subscription is canceled automatically. We also published a dedicated AI Use & Data Policy page covering where AI is used, which models, human oversight, and what we never do with your data.
Task-first homepage and buyer-focused About
The homepage now leads with six common workflows — find examples, benchmark, review a draft, prep a council memo, support procurement, track changes — phrased as the buyer's own ask. About picks up a new 'Who it's for' section covering municipal staff, privacy & legal, procurement, consultants, vendors, and associations.
City pages now server-rendered for search & AI crawlers
Every municipality detail page is fetched server-side and ships per-city titles, descriptions, OpenGraph tags, and structured data — so search engines and AI assistants can index Canadian municipal AI policy status directly.
SEO sweep: sitemap, canonicals, RSS fix
Added /api/public/sitemap.xml (static routes + blog posts + municipality slugs), referenced it in robots.txt, fixed the changelog RSS feed URL (/api/public/changelog.rss), and added canonical + og:url tags to FAQ, About, Blog, Pricing, Methodology, Founding Member, and Changelog routes.
Media & partnerships contact added
New dedicated address for media inquiries, partnerships, research collaboration, and speaking requests: comms@gotaipolicy.ca. Product support is unchanged at support@gotaipolicy.ca.
Legal documents refreshed
Privacy policy and Terms of Service updated to reflect Google and Apple sign-in (only verified email and display name are received from the provider) and the new media/partnerships contact address.

You can now create an account or log in with one tap using Google or Apple. Email and password sign-in still works the same — pick whichever is easiest for you.
Word & Excel exports for Founding Members
Founding Members can now export comparison reports as branded Microsoft Word (.docx) documents and download multi-sheet Excel (.xlsx) workbooks for both comparison results and the municipality directory. Both exports are bilingual and include policy metadata, summaries, and clickable source links.
